Ultraviolet absorbers are a class of functional chemical additives that can effectively absorb harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation (typically referring to UVA and UVB with wavelengths ranging from 290 to 400 nm) from sunlight and fluorescent light sources. They convert this UV radiation into harmless thermal energy or low-energy visible light for release, thereby protecting the added materials or products from UV-induced damage.

The pharmaceutical industry uses them in the synthesis of various active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), including antibiotics, antiviral drugs, anticancer drugs, and drugs for chronic diseases, among others.

UV-1084 absorbs ultraviolet radiation in the wavelength range of 270–330 nm. It functions not only as a light stabilizer but also exhibits antioxidant properties. It is suitable for use in plastics such as polyolefin copolymers, and is particularly well-suited for products exposed to high temperatures or prolonged sunlight.
UV Q21 is a blend of UV-1084 and UV-531, offering comprehensive protection against UV degradation.
UV-234 exhibits strong ultraviolet absorption within the 300–400 nm range while demonstrating minimal absorption in the visible light spectrum.
UV-329 is a highly efficient UV absorber, primarily active within the 270–340 nm range. It has minimal impact on visible light, making it especially suitable for colorless transparent and light-colored products.
UV-360 is a highly efficient UV absorber with strong absorbance in the 300–400 nm range. Thanks to its low volatility, UV-360 can be effectively used in combination with HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) or antioxidants

What anti-aging agent is suitable for acrylate rubber?
Acrylic rubber (ACM) is a specialty rubber with a saturated main chain structure, offering excellent resistance to heat, oil, ozone, and ultraviolet radiation. It is particularly suitable for manufacturing rubber products (such as oil seals, O-rings, gaskets, and hoses) used in high-temperature (<200°C) thermal oils, lubricants containing sulfur and extreme pressure additives, as well as transformer seals and cables exposed to outdoor environments. It can replace nitrile rubber in certain applications to enhance product performance or substitute for expensive fluorocarbon rubber to reduce costs.
